Honeybee Weekend at Wave Hill in Bronx

POSTED BY
Evelyn Kanter

honeybee weekend at wave hillSweet! The annual Honey Bee Weekend at Wave Hill is two-days of buzz-worthy and family-friendly events including tastings, the chance to meet local beekeepers, watch honey extraction, and learn more about how and why bees are central to our food supply.

Honey Bee Weekend is one of the signature events at Wave Hill, the beautiful 28-acre public garden and cultural center in Riverdale with sweeping views of the Hudson River and the Palisades. It was formerly the estate of millionaire George Perkins, a business partner of J.P. Morgan, and notables including Mark Twain and Theodore Roosevelt once lived here, too.

Note that admission to the ground is FREE until noon both days. If you arrive after noon, all the programs are FREE with admission except for the candle-making workshop, which has a matterials fee.

  • Information on how to get to Wave hill is at the bottom of the schedule.
