Attend a Halloween Extravaganza and Procession of the Ghouls at Cathedral of St. John the Divine. On Friday, Oct. 25th, brave souls can enjoy a screening of the classic German silent 1920 horror film The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari accompanied by live organ music. That’s followed by ghostly mischief and ghoulish tricks as the Cathedral is taken over by fantastical creatures of the night during the Procession of the Ghouls. The ghosts and ghouls, created by Cathedral Artist-in-Residence Ralph Lee and embodied by the Mettawee River Theatre Company, make their way down the entire length of the nave, bumping and jumping, toddling and tripping their way down a path through the center of the audience.
Choose either the 7 p.m. or 10 p.m. screening and procession. Tickets are $20. The Cathedral of St. John the Divine is at Amsterdam Ave. and 112th St.
