Gett guarantees lower prices than Uber

POSTED BY
Evelyn Kanter

uber surge pricingSick of high-priced Uber surge pricing and snow surcharges? Get lower fares with Gett than what Uber charges, or get your money back. Gett is making that promise with the first-ever “Better Fares Than Uber Or Your Money Back” guarantee in New York City.

Gett charges only fixed rates, not the free-floating, surge pricing model so many Uber customers love to hate.

This new Gett guarantee pricing program challenges New Yorkers to compare their Uber receipts to Gett’s fixed rates.

In the rare case you get a Gett quote that’s more than what you paid Uber, just email your Uber receipt to guarantee@gett.com to get a free ride credit equal to Gett’s fixed quote.

The money back guarantee is Gett’s newest promotion to lure riders away from higher-priced Uber, replacing Gett’s recent Surge Sucks promotion, which paid back surge pricing fees.

Credits will be rounded up to the nearest $5 increment. For example, a $26.54 fare quote from Gett will equate to $30 in Gett credit. Riders can submit multiple receipts up to a cumulative total of $100.

Gett is the only on-demand black car app that provides New Yorkers with affordable, fixed rates that never surge, regardless of weather, traffic, or demand.

And, Gett is the only black car app in NYC that offers $10 rides anywhere below 110th Street in Manhattan, which can be less than metered NYC taxi fares.

You can also e-hail NYC taxis, via two free apps.  Details here.

Follow these simple steps to compare Gett’s fixed rate to what you paid Uber:

Download the Gett app for Android devices.

Download the Gett app for IOS devices.

  • Open the Gett app and select the same type of vehicle as your Uber trip
  • If you’re looking at an Uber X receipt, select Gett Standard (up to 30% better rates)
  • If you’re looking at an Uber Black receipt, select Gett Premium (up to 35% better rates)
  • If you’re looking at an Uber Black SUV receipt, select Gett SUV (up to 40% better rates)
  • Enter the same origin as your Uber trip and tap “Set Pickup”
  • Enter the same destination as your Uber trip to get your Gett price

About Gett:  Founded in 2010, Gett is a $207M funded company and the largest international on-demand player by revenues. Available in 57 cities, including NYC, London, Manchester, Liverpool, Moscow, St Petersburg and Tel-Aviv.

What’s your method of choice to move around NYC? Subway? Bus? Taxi? Uber? Gett? Lyft? A neighborhood car service?
