This is the “other” Shakespeare in the Park, where tickets are not required and there’s no line to get in. Shakespeare in Bryant Park returns for 2016 with three different classic plays on various days of the week, beginning this Friday.
Friday, April 22 – Attend a runthrough of the famous Shakespeare death scenes
May 19 to June 4 – Much Ado About Nothing
July 21-23 – As You Like It
Sept. 1-17 – Measure for Measure.
FREE, of course. Weekday performances are 6:30pm – 8:30pm and on Sunday, 2-4pm., at the Upper Terrace, and chairs are provided so you don’t have to sit on the grass.
Shakespeare in Bryant Park is presented by The Drilling Company.
Also on the FREE Bryant Park spring and summer performance schedule:
The In/ter\sect concert series, which puts jazz and classical musicians into unique ensembles, will feature Jonathan Finlayson, Ethan Iverson, Inbal Segev and more on Fridays, June 10, July 15 and Aug. 26.
