Free programs for NYC seniors

nyconthecheapNYC seniors finding it hard to afford food or pay rent can get financial aid and rent assistance from FREE workshops in NYC this month. Learn whether you qualify and how to apply for financial aid, including help with filling out applications.

The programs are called SNAP, SCRIE and DRIE, acronyms for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and the NYC Rent Freeze Program (SCRIE and DRIE), and address directly the problems seniors on limited incomes face from skyrocketing rents and rising grocery prices.

The workshops are FREE, but reservations are strongly recommended. The links to make reservations follow the schedule of workshop, by borough:
