Go behind the scenes of the legendary Les Ballets de Monte Carlo at a FREE photo exhibit at Christie’s this week that’s part of Flavors of Monaco week in NYC, which also includes performances by the ballet and restaurant meals prepared by Monaco’s top chef.
The 20 photos – all large, dramatic black and white – capture the joy and exhaustion of rehearsals and some special moments of camaraderie. Inside Les Ballets de Monte Carlo is by Monaco-born photographer Alice Blangero, who has special access to the troupe, as the company’s official photographer.
Inside Les Ballets de Monte Carlo is on display on the first floor of Christie’s, the world famous auction house in Rockefeller Center, until Sunday, Feb. 21. Signed prints also are available for sale. Hours are 9am to 5:30pm.
Les Ballet de Monte Carlo is performing Cinderella, choreographed by Jean-Christophe Maillot, at City Center through Feb. 20th. Get discount tickets for $20 to $50, instead of the full price of $50 to $100.
