Yet another sign that NYC is back in business, every Tuesday through July you can learn Salsa, Samba, swing dancing and line dancing.
There’s a different dance to learn each week, on the pedestrian plaza Broadway Boulevard, on Broadway between 32nd and 33rd Streets.
And through Sunday, May 16, you can pop in to the annual Macy’s Flower Show to see beautiful spring blooms on the main floor.
As in past years, the lessons are hosted and produced by Talia Castro-Pozo.
But unlike past years, when you could just show up and join the crowd, pre-registration is now required to control capacity and social distancing. A limited number of walk-up spots may be available, and will be first-come, first-serve, but don’t depend on that.
Masks are required, so be sure to wear a comfortable one since you’ll be breathing hard – from the exercise and from laughing at your mis-steps at learning the steps.
Classes are at 5:45, and last for one hour.
Each FREE class requires a separate registration.
Please sign up only if you are sure you can attend, since you would be depriving somebody else of a spot if you are a no-show.
