New York City gets greener by the day, and we’re not just talking about St. Patrick’s Day, when everybody is Irish for the day. Learn how to go green in your everyday life and help the environment at a FREE lecture at the New York Public Library Mid-Manhattan Branch, on green day, Thursday, March 17th. The program is at 6:30 p.m., after the St. Patrick’s Day parade is over and midtown is back to normal. You’ll learn about going green with little things, like recycling your old electronics, and bigger things, like getting a list of green businesses and organizations in New York City. The Mid-Manhattan library is at 40th Street and Fifth Avenue, across the street from the main library on Fifth Avenue, guarded by those two famous stone lions.
