Nicholas Kristof is a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and author whose New York Times articles and columns on the human slave trade and the plight of women in third world countries are shocking, riveting and a wake-up call to all of us. He is speaking on his travels and experiences around the world in a special FREE program at CUNY on Thursday, March 29th, part of the Samuel Rudin Distinguished Visiting Scholar Lecture series. The program is entitled “Half the Sky: Changing the World by Empowering Women”. Nicholas Kristof’s books will be available for purchase and he will sign them following the lecture program. The event is at 5:30 p.m. at Shepard Hall, Great Hall, at the CUNY campus, 137th St. and Convent Ave. Although the program is free, an RSVP is requested to ensure space. RSVP 212-650-7799.
