For the third year, the New York International Film Festival is screening a rotating list of films daily on a huge digital screen in Times Square, August 11-14, from noon to 10 p.m. daily.
The movies are family-friendly, short narratives for New Yorkers and visitors of all ages. Two feature films are shown each evening with a red carpet, celebrities from the films, and photo opportunities for passersby.
You’ll have the opportunity to enjoy our The NYCIFF Times Square Free Screenings are on a 16′ by 14′ screen Father Duffy Square, and a good place to watch is from the Red Steps. Also, for the first time, NYIFF Children’s Day, is on Sunday, August 12th, featuring animated and narrative short films from the NYCIFF 2012 program. Children’s Day screenings are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The film festival is from August 9-16, but the free screenings in Times Square are August 11-14 only.
