Reminder that today, May 4th, is the annual Free Comic Book Day – the first Saturday in May each year – when participating comic shops and libraries in NYC, across North America, and around the world give away comic books absolutely free. The Mid-Manhattan branch of the NY Public Library is one of those participating, and will be giving away comics starting at 11 a.m. until they run out — one single comic book per customer. But you should be on line well before that, before supplies run out. The comic book giveaway is in the new Graphic Novels room. Click here for a full list of participating comic shops and libraries in NYC and around the USA on the Free Comic Book Today website.
The Mid-Manhattan branch of the NYPL is on Fifth Avenue, across from the Main Branch with the two lions out front.
