Once again this year, Shoney’s is offering all active duty and retired US military members a FREE burger on Veterans Day 2016, this Friday, Nov. 11th. Just show proof of military service, and chow down.
The offer is valid for dine-in only, limit one free burger per customer, beverage and tax not included.
Shony’s is known for its signature favorite All-American Burger, a fresh, never frozen, hand-pattied, grain-fed, 100% ground beef, cooked to order burger, served on a toasted bun with lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, pickles and mayonnaise.
Earlier this year, Shoney’s was voted one of the best 8 family dining restaurants in the United States in the 2016 Consumer Picks Survey via Nation’s Restaurant News, placing #6 overall. In the survey, Shoney’s was recognized for having the best rating for value among all family dining chains and also scored well for its service, menu variety and diners being likely to recommend it.
There’s no Shoney’s in NYC, but NYC on the Cheap has devoted followers around the USA who live near a Shoney’s location and can take advantage of this patriotic freebie.
You can also get patriotic burgers at the new ‘Merica restaurant on the Lower East Side, which has burgers named for presidential candidates Clinton and Trump. They’re not free but they are patriotic.
Which ever burger you “vote” for, please do vote. All elections are important, and this may be more important than most. We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again – if you do not vote, you do not have the right to complain about who wins.
