Get ready for NYC Fleet Week 2019, when more than 2,600 US Navy sailors, Marines and Coast Guard men and women visit NYC, there are nearly one dozen ships to tour, and dozens of band concerts and other events.
All events are FREE and family-friendly.
The 31st annual NYC Fleet Week 2019, which celebrates all the Sea Services, is May 22-28, with Navy Band concerts and drill performances, demonstrations of the latest battle and rescue technology, and the chance to tour ships on active duty.
The signature events of Fleet Week include the traditional Parade of Ships on the Hudson River, and the traditional showing of the movie Top Gun on the top deck of the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum.
Fleet Week NYC 2019 welcomes five U.S. Navy ships, three U.S. Coast Guard cutters, four U.S. Naval Academy Patrol boats (YPs), one Military Sealift Command ships, and two Royal Canadian Navy vessels.
The Parade of Ships officially kicks off 2018 Fleet Week New York, on Wed., May 22. The ships can be seen along the Hudson River from Battery Park to just south of the George Washington Bridge.
This year’s visiting ships include the USS New York, a San Antonio-class amphibious transport.
The bow stem of USS New York includes 7.5 tons of steel recovered from the World Trade Center’s twin towers.
Here are the visiting ships, which will be open for touring daily, FREE.
Note that visitors over 18 will be required to show a government-issued ID for boarding.

Ship tours are daily, 8am to 6pm, except for ships docked at the Intrepid, which open for public tours at 10am.
