Facebook has a new a feature called “Get Notifications” that will help you stay current with posts from your favorite pages. Loyal Facebook users know you don’t get all the posts from your favorite pages. Many simply don’t show up in your FB newsfeed — like the posts NYCOTC shares with our FB page. Here’s the solution that you can see every post from your favorite pages — it’s called “get notifications”. Go to a page you like, such as the NYC on the Cheap Facebook page. On the top right you’ll see a box with the word “Like” in it. Click that if you haven’t already. Make sure that “See in news feed” is checked, then check “Get notifications.”
Now, whenever there’s a post added to NYC on the Cheap, Facebook sends you the same type of notification you get as when a friend comments on a picture you shared, or a comment you made on somebody else’s picture, or even tags you in a photo you would rather forget.
The best way to get every single NYCOTC post is to subscribe by email. You’ll get exactly one email every morning around 9am with a blurb on each posting from the last 24 hours, with a clickable link. How easy is it to subscribe by email? No-brainer. Just fill in your email in the box on the upper right of this page, where it says “Get Cheap”, and remember to okay the email from Feedburner verifying your email subscription.
Aren’t you glad you asked. Thanks to sister site Charlotte on the Cheap for alerting us to this important Facebook feature.
