Dine Out for 9/11 Tribute

POSTED BY
Evelyn Kanter

Dine Out for 9:11

Dine out on 9/11 to support the 9/11 Tribute Center.  Dine Out for 9/11 Tribute will be on on the anniversary of the attacks, on Friday, September 11th,  and promote the mission of the 9/11 Tribute Center.

The 9/11 Tribute Center, at 120 Liberty St., is a FREE mini-museum with displays and information about that horrible day and the people who raced to help, and stayed to help.  Docents are all volunteers with a very personal connection to 9/11.  They tell their stories to visitors, and there are regular visits by family members of 9/11 victims, and First Responders, who also talk to visitors.

The 9/11 Tribute Center also has materials for teachers, to help educate kids on 9/11, and there is a gift shop with books and souvenir items licensed by the NYPD and NYFD, so a portion of your purchases support New York’s Finest and New York’s Bravest.

Dine Out for 9/11 Tribute participating restaurants will return a portion of the profits to support the center.  Here is a partial list of the participating restaurants, most of which are in Lower Manhattan::
