In honor of World Suicide Prevention Day tomorrow, attend a special screening of the award-winning Robin Williams film Dead Poets Society in NYC. Tickets are $15, and all proceeds are being donated to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, or AFSP.
The special remembering Robin Williams event is Wednesday, Sept. 10th, at Florence Gould Hall, 55 East 59th Street, 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM.
The screening follows a short panel discussion featuring national leaders from the mental health field, and the organizers tell NYC on the Cheap that Dead Poets Society might be followed by a Mrs. Doubtfire contest.
Click here to purchase tickets and reserve a seat. Or email your reservation to eventsrsvp@we-care.com.
The AFSP will use the proceeds from the Dead Poets Society screening to fund research, create educational programs, advocate for public policy and support survivors of suicide loss.
