The annual Sunday Moondance event starts with the George Gee Swing Orchestra, and then rotates among Latin and Tango orchestras Los Hermanos Colon, Nu D.Lux, and Hector Del Corto’s Eternal Tango Orchestra. Then, it’s back to swing on the final Sunday, August 11, for David Berger’s Jazz ‘s Orchestra. It’s at Pier 84, at 44th St. There’s a FREE lesson at 6:30 p.m., and live music from 7:30 to 10 p.m., with a brief performance by professional dance instructors at 8 p.m. As in previous years, this is a co-production of the Hudson River Park Trust and Dance Manhattan Studio. If you’ve been following NYCOTC, you know that I’m a swing dancer, and dabble in Latin and Tango. So I’ll see you on the dance floor.
