New York State Attorney General Andrew Cuomo has fined CVS $875,000 for selling expired food, medicine and baby food. It’s not called a fine. It’s called an ‘agreement’. And CVS is paying up, even though it admits no wrong-doing.
CVS agreed to pay the whopping $875,000 fine after investigators found expired merchandise in 60% of its 432 New York locations, including in The Big Apple. And this is after CVS made a previous agreement to stop selling out-dated perishable items. The full story is in USA Today.
