These businesses are encouraging us go get vaccinated, and rewarding us for protecting ourselves, loved ones, friends and neighbors by offering COVID vaccine freebies and discounts when you show your vaccination card.
Some freebies are through May 31 only, so don’t delay cashing in.
Our list includes companies rewarding employees with cash bonuses or paid leave time for getting their vaccination.

Vaccination Deals in NYC and Tri-State
American Museum of Natural History
New York City’s coolest vaccination site is under the iconic Blue Whale.
While the site prioritizes employees of NYC cultural institutions – such as AMNH – any NYC resident over the age of 16 with valid NYC identification can get a vaccination here.
As an incentive, AMNH is offering a pass for FREE admission for anybody vaccinated here, plus three guests.
Through Memorial Day, get a FREE mini cheesecake by showing your vaccination card.
The freebie is good only at Junior’s landmark flagship store in Downtown Brooklyn, at Flatbush Ave. and DeKalb.
Show your card at the original Coney Island location to get a FREE hot dog.
Right now, only the original Coney Island location is offering this freebie, but it doesn’t hurt to check your local Nathan’s.
Nathan’s also is offering 5 cent hot dogs on Thursdays to anybody, vaccinated or not.
MáLà Project in the East Village and Midtown is giving a free appetizer to diners who show their vaccination card when ordering in person, either takeout or dine-in, through June.
Free Drink in Connecticut
Diners who have received at least one vaccination shot can get a FREE drink at Connecticut restaurants participating in the state-wide #CTDrinksOnUs promotion,
Customers who present proof of inoculation – and buy food from the restaurant hosting them – can select an alcoholic or nonalcoholic beverage off a special menu drafted by the participating place. Only one selection off the free-drink menu is permitted per vaccinated guest
The offer begins on May 19. That’s the date Connecticut ends capacity limits and virtually all other restrictions except a facemask requirement.
The free drink deal ends June 1.
Shot and a Beer in New Jersey
The state was teaming up with more than a dozen local breweries for the “Shot and a Beer” project.
Any New Jersey resident over 21 who gets their first vaccine dose in the month of May and takes their vaccination card to a participating brewery will receive a free beer.
Vaccination Freebies Nationwide
Get a $5 coupon from Target when you get a CVS at Target-administered COVID-19 vaccination.
You can make an appointment at nearly all CVS at Target locations.
The $5 coupon is only at Target-administered CVS locations.
Visit CVS.com to check availability and schedule your COVID-19 vaccine appointment (you can schedule your second dose at the same time, if applicable). After you receive your vaccine you’ll get a $5 Target coupon to spend on in-store purchases of $5 or more.
FYI – Target has donated $500,000 to UNICEF USA in support of its employees and their communities in India during this spring’s ongoing surge of COVID-19 cases.
Through May 31, the burger chain is giving a FREE dessert-on-a-stick to anyone with proof of vaccination.
White Castle offers four versions of the dessert –
- Gooey Buttercake-on-a-Stick
- Fudge Dipped Brownie-on-a-Stick
- Fudge Dipped Cheesecake-on-a-Stick
- Birthday Cake-on-a-Stick, introduced recently to celebrate the company’s 100th anniversary.

Just show your card to receive a FREE original glazed doughnut at participating U.S. shops. for the rest of 2021.
You can take advantage of this offer as many times as you want, just by showing your card.
The beer company wants to help get drinkers back into the bars and restaurants.
They’re offering to buy you your first beer back.
Post a picture of your vaccination sticker or bandage with the hashtag #shotforsam and tag @samueladamsbeer on Twitter will get a DM from Sam offering to send them $7 via Cash App.
- Remember to cover your birth date and other personal information before you post an image of your vaccination card online, to protect sensitive personal information from the potential of identity theft.

Cash Bonuses and Time Off for Employees
Several companies are offering their employees a cash bonus for getting vaccinated. Even if your company is not on this list, it’s worth asking.
Kroger is offering employees $100 in store credit for getting a shot and
Publix is offering employees a $125 gift card.
Petco is giving employees a $75 bonus for getting vaccinated.
Other companies are offering paid time off to go get vaccinated:
Target, McDonald’s, Aldi, Trader Joe’s, and Dollar General are all offering employees up to four hours of paid time off to go get vaccinated.
Local and chain dispensaries are offering free marijuana to those with vaccination cards.
The Mint Dispensary in Phoenix is offering free edibles to those who are over 21 and vaccinated.
In Michigan, Greenhouse of Walled Lake and UBaked have partnered to offer free pre-rolled joints if you’re of age and show your card.
Your local dispensary may be offering a deal as well, but make sure to call or check their website first.
Through the end of May, the e-commerce rewards site is offering users $50 in points for getting vaccinated.
Snap a selfie while getting your shot, and then share it on Instagram with #DropCOVID. Also tag @joindrop and geotag your post.
Within 24 hours of posting your pic, they’ll send you a unique code to earn up to $50 in cash rewards. The offer is open to new and existing users.
Staples, Office Depot, and OfficeMax
Keep your vaccination card preserved with free lamination from Staples, Office Depot and OfficeMax. Bring your card in for the free service through July 25.
- NYCOTC tip – It’s also a good idea to take a photo of your card on your smartphone. I have both – a smartphone photo and the card laminated FREE by my nearest Staples.
If you’re a Reds fan, you’re in luck.
The Cincinnati baseball team is offering discounted tickets to fans who show their vaccination card with at least one shot completed.
Your card will get you view-level tickets for $10. The offer is valid at the ticket windows at Great American Ball Park only for Monday-Thursday games in April and May, and may be subject to availability. The tickets may only be redeemed in person, and a maximum of six tickets can be purchased with each vaccine card shown.
