Coney Island’s world-famous Cyclone roller coaster and Luna Park re-open for the 2014 season tomorrow, Sunday, April 13, with FREE Cyclone rides starting at 11 AM, for the first 100 people on line. There will also be festivities including a hot dog eating contest, traditional New York egg creams, and more, and the weather should cooperate.
As you know, Coney Island suffered major damage from Superstorm Sandy. So it’s especially important to visit Coney Island and help the small, family-owned businesses that make Coney Island so distinctive, plus of course, the New York Aquarium at Coney Island, which sustained significant damage in the hurricane.
