Once again this year, trick yourself out and show up in costume on Oct. 31 and Chipotle will treat you to one of its notoriously large “boorito” bowls, salads or tacos for only $3. Plus, there’s a chance win FREE burritos for a year.
The bargain burrito (or other menu item) is available from 3 p.m. to closing, so there’s plenty of time to go trick-or-treating or get to a party. There are definitely going to be lots of “ghosts” converging there on Halloween to fill their empty bellies.
There’s a limit of one $3 Boorito per customer, and it’s up to the restaurant manager to decide whether your costue qualifies for the deal, according to a Chipotle announcement. So dress to impress.
Don’t want to dress up? Chipotle also is giving costume haters a chance to score free food. Text BOORITO to 888222 by October 31 to have a shot at winning free burritos for a year.

This year’s promotion is different than past years, when Chipotle donated the proceeds from Boo-rito, up to $1,000,000 to The Chipotle Cultivate Foundation. There’s no word about that donation this year.
The Foundation is a non-profit organization committed to creating a more sustainable and healthful food supply while raising awareness about revitalizing family farms, humane and sustainable animal husbandry, and nutrition education.
Chipotle has been working overtime to make us forget about last year’s disastrous food poisoning headlines, when thousands of customers in dozens of locations were sickened by – er – poor hygiene procedures. Maybe supporting a healthy food supply foundation is too much of a reminder of those bad news days.
According to Money magazine, Chipotle is spending as much as $60 million on free meals and other promotions to get customers back in the doors since the E. coli breakout.
The bargain burrito for a good cause is available from 5 p.m. to closing, so there’s plenty of time to go trick-or-treating or get to a party.
