In case you haven’t heard, The Museum of Modern Art is raising its admission fee in September 2011 from $20 to $25.
If you visit MOMA or its affiliate PS1 three times a year, or twice a year with a friend. you’ll save money with a $75 annual membership, plus get additional perks like avoiding the waiting line. Membership gives you unlimited free admission both to MOMA and MOMA PS1 in Astoria, $5 guest passes, members-only previews and free daily films.
Do the math — if you and a friend go twice a year, that’s $100 for four regular-price admissions, or $85 for a $75 membership and two $5 guest passes.
Plus the line-cutting perks. Go for it. BTW — the least crowded day of the week to visit is Wednesday.
