Take the subway to the Sochi Olympics this weekend, for the last stop of the Road To Sochi Tour, to meet former Olympians and test your winter sports skills on virtual skating, luge and even curling exhibits. The FREE interactive sports tour has been traveling the USA during the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games, and help boost pride in Team USA, including the team participating in the Paralympic Winter Games that begin soon after the “regular” Olympics ends.
The Road to Sochi is Sunday, Feb. 23rd in Vanderbilt Hall at Grand Central Terminal, noon to 4 p.m. Athletes including Olympic skater Sasha Cohen will be on hand for autographs, and to encourage kids to enjoy winter sports. There’s also the chance to win American Flag gloves, a collector’s item not sold in stores.
Note: This is also the last weekend to see the annual FREE Holiday Miniature Train Show at Grand Central Terminal. Full NYCOTC posting here.
