Celebrate National Ice Cream Day With These Sweet Deals

national ice cream dayNational Ice Cream Day is Sunday, July 19, and several local ice cream shops and national chains are offering sweet deals.

Here’s where to get a free scoop or cone, or discount or BOGO cone or cup.  What’s your favorite flavor?  Mine is a toss-up between butter pecan and coffee.

Local ice cream deals

The New York City outpost of the popular Italian gelato chain Venchi is celebrating National Ice Cream Day on Sunday with FREE scoops from Noon to 2pm and a BOGO offer all day at their Union Square NYC location at 861 Broadway.

The promotions are available to anyone who provides the secret word “ICEDREAM.”.

Insomnia Cookies – Get BOGO Monster’wiches, the cookie chain’s new ice cream sandwiches. 

National chains

Friendly’s is celebrating National Ice Cream Day for two days.

Saturday, July 18th is the chain’s 85th birthday, and Sunday, July 19th is National Ice Cream Day, so Friendly’s is celebrating all weekend with 85 cent cones.

DQ is celebrating National Ice Cream Day with a “cool” offer – $1 off any size Dipped Cone (excluding kid cones).

The deal is one day only, Sunday, July 19th, and includes the NEW Cotton Candy Dipped Cone or classic Chocolate Dipped Cone – is redeemable through the DQ mobile app* at participating locations nationwide.
