Ice Cream Festival Returns to Bryant Park

POSTED BY
Evelyn Kanter

This is your excuse to stuff yourself with ice cream and feel good about it.

Scooper Bowl is the nation’s largest all-you-can-eat ice cream festival, a charity fund-raiser for kids with cancer and for cancer research.

Scooper Bowl is a three-day ice cream extravaganza returning to Bryant Park, June 1-3, 2018 for the second year, hopefully as successful as the first.

This event was in June 2018.

There is no Scooper Bowl in Bryant Park in June 2019

Get early bird discount tickets now for $20 knowing that 100% of ticket sales support the cancer charities.

Scooper Bowl has been a Boston tradition for nearly 40 years.

The second annual Scooper Bowl New York showcases dozens of flavors scooped and served by top national brands, favorite local NYC craft creameries and vegan brands.

This is the list of 2017 participants – alphabeticaly, since that’s the only fair way – many of which are returning for 2018 (we’ll confirm the list  when it’s released):

Scooper Bowl

  • Adirondack Creamery,
  • Baskin-Robbins,
  • Ben & Jerry’s,
  • Big Gay Ice Cream,
  • Breyers,
  • Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory,
  • Coolhaus,
  • Graeter’s Ice Cream,
  • Häagen Dazs,
  • Vice Cream,
  • Wafels & Dinges (Belgian ice creams)

Non-dairy producers DF Mavens (vegan ice creams) and SAMBAZON (superfruit frozen sorbets). Breads Bakery and UnReal Candy also are expected to return for 2018.

Early-bird tickets for Scooper Bowl New York are $20 per day, through May 15, 2018.

After that, the price jumps to $25..  Purchase tickets here.

Just like theater tickets and airline tickets, you purchase a ticket for a specific day. You can’t purchase a ticket for Friday and use it Saturday, or the other way around.

Tickets will be sold on-site for $25 per day. Even if you can’t attend, you can still make a donation to The Jimmy Fund on the Purchase tickets here.

Head to the Bryant Park Fountain Terrace, 12pm-9pm on any of the three days, Friday to Sunday, June 1,-3 eat as much ice cream as you wish.

100% of proceeds benefit the Jimmy Fund, which supports pediatric and adult cancer care and research at Boston’s Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, and pediatric care at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, a provider of rehabilitative medicine for catastrophic injury and illness, clinical care, medical education, and advanced research.

Note to our friends in and around Boston – Scooper Bowl Boston 2018 will be at City Hall Plaza June 5-7.
