Broadway Remembers is a moving new video to honor the memory of those the Broadway community lost in 2020.
The sad list includes Tony Award winners, Tony nominees and others from both sides of the curtain – dancers and choreographers, actors and scenic designers, singers and composers, producers and press agents, even a beloved longtime theater usher.
Some names you will recognize – Tony winners Ann Reinking, Hal Prince and Jerry Herman.
Some may surprise you – stars more famous for appearing in Hollywood movies and on TV, but who also appeared on the Broadway stage, including Sean Connery and Dianna Rigg.
Grab a tissue or several, to say goodbye to these folks we lost in 2020 who made Broadway shows famous around the world.
We all hope live theater returns soon, so we can once again enjoy the talent and dedication of everyone involved in creating and performing a Broadway show.
Broadway Remembers was Produced and Conceived by Mike Karns and Steven Tartick, Directed by Raúl Esparza and Music Directed by Mary-Mitchell Campbell.
The Music was Produced by Benedict Braxton-Smit, with Vocals by Sierra Boggess and Raul Esparza.
