The annual NYC Blues BBQ festival combines two of the best things in life – great blues music and great BBQ. Live blues music by top performers is free, but not the BBQ from top NYC finger licking good restaurants.
It’s next Saturday, August 22nd, and it’s the 16th annual Blues & BBQ bash, in a new, larger location in Hudson River Park, at Pier 26 in Tribeca.
Live music starts at 2:30 p.m., with –
- Otis Taylor Band
- Naomi Shelton & The Gospel Queens
- Jarekus Singleton
- Vaneese Thomas
- The Ed Palermo Big Band featuring Jimmy Vivino and Felix Cabrera (Performing the music of Paul Butterfield and Mike Bloomfield)
BBQ is from NYC restaurants including Brother Jimmy’s BBQ, Dinosaur Bar B Que and Ember Room, and you pay as you eat. No pets, bikes or skateboards allowed on Pier 26.
Hudson River Park’s Blues BBQ is Saturday, August 22nd, 2:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., rain or shine. Let’s hope for shine.
