Heat and humidity got you down? Get on the water and cool off with the breeze. Several NYC cruise companies are offering comp tickets for sightseeing cruises on the Hudson River and New York Harbor, including weekend happy hour sunset cruises.
Get aboard one of the the famous Circle Line boats, and get up close and personal with the world’s most famous statue, the Statue of Liberty.
There are comp tickets available for Circle Line cruises, and other steeply discounted tickets at $15.
Circle Line also offers a new Brooklyn specific sightseeing cruise, focusing on Brooklyn history.
After departing from Pier 83, you’ll travel down the Hudson River, enjoying panoramic views of Midtown and Lower Manhattan before sailing within 100 feet of the Statue of Liberty — the perfect position for the ultimate Big Apple selfie. There also are comp and $15 discount tickets for a Friday night happy hour cruise aboard the yacht Serenity. There’s an open bar, but don’t try to juggle a drink and your smartphone at the same time while you capture the sunset with a selfie.
Take a trip on a sailing ship. There are limited comps available for the majestic schooner Clipper City.
