The best of French food and fashion, art and culture, music and dance, including performers from the fabled Moulin Rouge night club in Paris, take over Times Square next weekend for a giant street fair. “Rendezvous en France” is the largest French event ever organized outside of France.
The world’s most-visited country takes up residence in the world’s most-visited tourist attraction,Times Square.
Formerly known as Taste of France and last held in 2013, Best of France will fill Broadway between 47th and 48th Streets, 10 am to 8 pm both Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 26/27, with a technology village, and more than 30 booths representing the regions and cities of France.
The dancers from the Moulin Rouge are appearing on stage in New York City for the first time in 126 years, to help entice you to visit France, or visit again.
Regions of France, like Aquitaine, Paris Region, Midi-Pyrenees, Normandy, Rhône-Alps and islands in the French West Indies (Guadeloupe, Martinique and Saint Martin), will be represented alongside cities like Paris, Lyon, Marseille, Chamonix, Enghien and Cannes, plus hotels including Relais & Châteaux and Lucien Barrière, airlines (Norwegian), river and canal cruise operators (Le Boat, Croisi Europe), train travel representatives (Rail Europe), tour operators and travel agencies (Back Roads Touring, Liberty Travel).
Also on hand will be the National Monuments Center, for information about WWI and WWII sites, and a group representing medical tourism.
