The best pizza in NYC — and the world — is Goodfella’s Brick Oven Pizza on Staten Island, which has just won the ‘world’s best pizza’ title in an international pizza competition against thousands of restaurants and slice joints from around the world. The International Pizza Expo of Las Vegas, sponsored by Pizza Today Magazine, is the big cheese in the pizza business, and this is the third time Goodfella’s has won the award. Goodfella’s Brick Oven Pizza has been serving up gourmet pizzas and other Italian dishes since 1992, and also operates the “Pizza School of New York,” where they teach the art of pizza to restaurateurs from all over the world. Congrats to Goodfella’s, which is celebrating winning the world’s best pizza award by serving FREE samples at the restaurant, 1718 Hylan Blvd. You can check out the menu on the Goodfella’s website — but fair warning — you will be blasted out of your chair by really loud, really bad music. Maybe Goodfella’s will use the $10,000 pizza award to buy some better music for its website.
