The 12th eleventh annual NYC Harlem Week kicks off Sunday, July 31st with A Great Day in Harlem, a day-long collection of FREE family-oriented music and dance events, arts and crafts and more. Harlem Week really should be called Harlem Month, since events continue through mid-August.
Here’s some of the Harlem Week kick-off events this Sunday, all at U. S. Grant National Memorial Park, 122nd St. and Riverside Drive:
1 p.m. — International Cultural Showcase, featuring music and dance performances and more.
3 p.m. — International Gospel Showcase
5 p.m. — Fashion Fusion Showcase, featuring cutting edge designs by designsA fashion showcase of emerging local talent, also at Grant’s Tomb
6:00 p.m. — Concert Under the Stars, featuring international performers.
