NYC is in full holiday mode now, with Christmas tree and Hanukkah menorah lighting ceremonies, holiday crafts markets and another long list of holiday events. Take a deep breath and put these on your calendar.
As always, NYCOTC features primarily FREE events and others are always $25 or less, so you can enjoy more NYC and more for less money.
See FREE performances from some of the most popular Broadway musicals, no tickets required, on Mondays through Dec. 10 at the Shops at Columbus Circle. Different shows are featured each week.

NYC Model Train Shows
These are classic, vintage Lionel Trains which run on eight separate loops of track through a 34-foot long miniature New York City scene, at the New York Transit Museum Gallery Annex and Store in GCT.
On Saturdays, 2pm-3pm, Cali Co Cat and her Le Carrousel pals get kids jumpin’ and leapin’ with fun, games, and stories to boot at Story Time. The program runs for five weeks, November 3-December 1.
On Sundays, Le Carrousel Magique brings some of the best magicians to perform fun-filled tricks for kids of all ages. This year’s lineup includes Jeff Moche, Chris Capehart, Silly Billy, Looney Louie, and Lee Barrett. Shows are 2pm-3pm, November 4-December 2.
- While you’re there, be sure to take a few spins on Le Carrousel. Rides are only $3, and you can save plenty by purchasing a discount card that gives you ten rides for $20.
This FREE one-hour version of the beloved holiday ballet, performed to Tchaikovsky’s cherished score, is set Art Nouveau-style circa 1907 with innovative choreography by long-time New York Theatre Ballet choreographer, Keith Michael. The acclaimed dance company presents four performances in the Winter Garden, one of the city’s only free opportunities to enjoy a holiday must-see performance. For ages 3 and up. Please note, seating for these popular performances is first come, first served and early arrival is strongly suggested.
