Atlantic City on the cheap

POSTED BY
Evelyn Kanter

atlantic city hotel discounts Get a head start on summer with discounts and freebies at all eleven of Atlantic City’s resort casino hotels and spas.  Through the end of June, room rates are as low as $49 a night at hotels on the famous Atlantic City boardwalk, and include amenities such as free show tickets, summery goodies and poolside cocktails, spa and health club access, fine dining and beverage credits and even extra-late checkouts.

Atlantic City is a great getaway just two hours from Times Square. The wide, white sand beach is still fabulous. Ditto the Atlantic Ocean breezes. The Boardwalk still has those famous rolling chairs. The salt water taffy still is tempting.

And my own favorite attraction from a recent visit  just may be the FREE nightly sound-and-light show.

Upcoming events include the Sand Sculpting World Cup (June 19-July 7), also FREE, the big Lady Gaga concert at Boardwalk Hall (June 28) and the 2014 Challenge Atlantic City Triathlon (June 29).

Check out these great rates and perks and  book directly with your hotel of choice or via the Hello Summer promotion from Visit Atlantic City.

Alphabetically, by hotel, the deals are:

Bally’s: daily rates from $55, plus two free drinks at Mountain Bar and two complimentary passes to Bally’s Pool

Borgata: rates Sunday to Thursday from $169, plus $100 dining credit, two Borgata Comedy Club tickets, complimentary fitness center access

Caesars: rates Sunday to Friday from $123, plus dinner for two pre-fixe menu, entry for two into Qua Roman Baths & Spa, 1PM late checkout.

Golden Nugget: daily rates from $69 and include two breakfast buffet vouchers. Note: the Nugget is in the marina area, 10-15 minutes from the Boardwalk by taxi or shuttle bus.

Harrah’s: daily rates from  $65, plus $20 poolside beverage credit, $30 room service credit and 1PM late checkout

Resorts: Sunday to Thursday from $79, plus $20 food credit, two tickets to the review show, complimentary Health Club & Spa access

Revel: Sunday to Thursday from $139 and incudes a $50 dining credit

Showboat: daily rates from $49 and includes two French Quarter Buffet passes

Tropicana: Sunday to Thursday from $119 and includes a $50 Tropicana gift card, $10 free slot play and Health Club access

Trump Plaza: Sunday to Thursday from $69, and includes plus complimentary Health Club access and a half-pound box of Salt Water Taffy

Trump Taj Mahal: Sunday to Thursday from $69 plus a $50 Trump Taj Mahal gift card, complimentary Health Club access and a one-pound box of Salt Water Taffy

From sandals to stilettos and foie gras to funnel cakes, Atlantic City offers something for everyone. Enjoy world-class entertainment, dining, shopping, gaming, relaxing on the beach and strolling the historic Boardwalk in the city that was created to escape the city. For more information visit Do Atlantic City.

FYI: The Atlantic City Alliance was established in 2011 as a private, not-for-profit corporation to market Atlantic City as a year-round vacation destination.
