If you like FREE unlimited delivery, FREE unlimited photo storage and FREE unlimited streaming video, Amazon Prime is a great deal, and even better this weekend when the price is slashed from $99 to $73 for an annual membership. That’s a $26 saving, for new members.
Amazon is cutting the fee for new members to celebrate winning two awards at the 73rd Annual Golden Globes earlier this week. 73rd award ceremony. $73 membership fee. Two wins. Two-day discount deal. Got it.
The Amazon Prime discount deal is valid today, Friday, Jan. 15, beginning at 9 p.m. PT and ends at 11:59 p.m. PT on Sunday, Jan. 17. That gives you 48 hours to decide if it’s a good deal.
Or, you could choose Amazon’s FREE 30-day trial. Just remember to cancel before the 30 days if you don’t like it or don’t use enough services that it pays for itself.
Prime perks include Amazon’s streaming video service, free two-day shipping on most products, Amazon’s Prime Music streaming app, unlimited photo storage with Amazon Cloud Drive, and early access to deals on Amazon.com.
Amazon’s two Golden Globe winners were its original series Mozart in the Jungle, for Best Musical or Comedy Series. Lead actor Gael García Bernal won the title of Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy for his performance in the show.
If you keep track of these things, it means Amazon’s series won twice as many awards as Netflix’s shows, which won nothing.
Perhaps this discount weekend for Amazon Prime will do better than last year’s Amazon Prime Day, which offered a day of deals supposedly better than Black Friday deals. By all accounts in the business press, that was a prime failure.
EXPIRED, Sorry, this deal or event is no longer available.
