90 DIY cheap Halloween costumes

POSTED BY
Evelyn Kanter

zombie-pirateHalloween on the cheap: Looking for a Halloween costume for youself or your kids? It’s easy to make one yourself in not much time while you also and avoid spending a scary amount of money on a costume that you might also see somebody else wearing at the same parade or party.

NYCOTC sister website Living on the Cheap has put together so many DIY Halloween costume ideas that they are divided into sections.

Scary, Real-life people, Pop culture and history, Offbeat, sports themed and animals. Just a few that you’ll find on the list of 90 cheap and easy DIY Halloween costumes are: Playing Card, Tardis from Doctor Who, Medusa and Zombie Bride.

Here’s the link to 90 cheap and easy DIY Halloween costumes.

Did we miss one?  Do you have more ideas for cheap and easy DIY Halloween costumes? Leave a comment and maybe we can add it to the list.

Also, just as New York City on the Cheap gives you the scoop on local events and deals, Living on the Cheap does the same on a national basis, and also shares tips on topics like selling your house quickly, protecting your personal information and stopping those annoying robocalls – that article was written by NYCOTC editor and publisher Evelyn Kanter.

BTW – I’m still laughing over the memory of my now-grown son as a Mummy.  It’s what he wanted to be, but since there were no store-bought costumes, my DIY version was to wrap him in toilet paper.  The problem was every step he took, he ripped, and I spent that Halloween night taping him back together.  And laughing.
