Believe it or not, Ripley’s Odditorium in Times Square is offering $5 admission Sunday, Nov. 4 through Thursday, Nov. 8. You have to bring five cans or jars of non-perishable food to get the $5 entry deal. It’s the second annual Gimme Five Food Drive to fight hunger in New York City.
The canned food is donated to City Harvest, which feeds the poor and hungry in NYC and beyond. Last year’s Gimme Five Food Drive netted more than 15,000 donations and helped feed tens of thousands of people across the country.
Since regular admission costs $29.95, you are saving money by purchasing five cans or jars of juice, soup, beans, tuna, cereal, canned fruits and vegetables, peanut butter, pasta, tomato sauce or baby food.
Plus, you are helping feed the hungry — especially important right now in the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy.
