Get COMP tickets now for this other curated gallery event, in Brooklyn the first weekend of May, to discover affordable artworks by artists who have been vetted by one of the world’s top international art dealers, along with entertainment and art seminars.
This year, The Other Art Fair will incorporate its Greener Future program with special initiatives geared toward supporting sustainability and protecting the environment.
And this year, 60% of the curated artists showing their work are women.
The Other Art Fair is the leading artist fair presented by Saatchi Art in New York City, as well as in Los Angeles, London, Bristol, Sydney and Melbourne.
The Other Art Fair returns to Greenpoint’s Brooklyn Expo Center for another installment which showcases 130 talented emerging artists alongside a unique and immersive features program.
This is the third year for this art fair at the Brooklyn Expo Center, and the art show includes a cash bar, live DJ sets, event tours, conversations with some of the art scene’s leading names and more.
The artists showcased at the fair are selected by a panel of influential art world experts and tastemakers ensuring that fair visitors are presented with Saatchi Art’s most talented emerging artists.
The selection committee for the Brooklyn 2019 Spring edition of the fair includes: Rebecca Wilson (Chief Curator, Saatchi Art), Lucien Zayan (Founder, The Invisible Dog Art Center), Billy Gerard Frank (Founder, Nova Frontier Film Festival), Deva Pardue (Creative Director, The Wing), Rolf Arne Leer (Founder, Quoted Magazine), and Zoe Christensen (Fine Art Agent and Curator, SeaLegacy.org).
“As the fair’s reputation and visibility increases, we are thrilled to be welcoming so many artists to the fair for the first time. In Brooklyn our audiences will be able to discover the works of outstanding emerging artists from 16 countries from Chile to the Netherlands, in addition to some of the most popular artists regularly exhibiting at the fair,” said Saatchi Art Chief Curator Rebecca Wilson in a press release to NYC on the Cheap, adding “We are also very excited that 60% of the artists showing their work are women.”

Her work as a photographer, speaker and explorer has been featured in hundreds of publications, most recently in National Geographic.
