St. Patrick’s Day Parade – The largest and oldest (since 1762) parade in the USA marches up Fifth Avenue from 44th Street to 79th Street, starting at 11AM. You’ll need tickets for the special viewing stand in front of St. Patrick’s Cathedral, and beware that viewing spots around Trump Tower will be affected by special presidential security. The Parade can also be watched live on NBCNewYork.com.
Freebie Friday – FREE admission to NYC museums including MOMA. No passes or coupons needed. Just go.
Freebie Friday: Family Fridays at MoMath – Solve puzzles, family-style, and learn how math affects everything, from music to space flight. 6:30pm, FREE The National Museum of Mathematics is at 11 E. 26th St.
Freebie Friday – FREE Grand Central Neighborhood Tour. Every Friday at 12:30, docents from the Grand Central Partnership guide you through the history of the fabled Grand Central Terminal and some equally-fabled nearby landmarks including the Chrysler Building. There are no tickets, no reservations. Just meet at Sculpture court at 120 Park Avenue (southwest corner of East 42nd Street). Tour is 90 minutes.

Free Film Screening: Hidden Figures – Celebrate Women’s History Month and the month after Black History Month with this FREE screening of the Oscar-nominated drama of an incredible untold story. 1:30PM to 4:30PM at historic Lewis H Latimer House, home of the African-American inventor, 34-41 137th Street, Flushing, Queens. RSVP required to ensure seating.
Sunday, March 18th
Wedding Crashers Spring Fair: If there’s a wedding in your near future, this wedding fair will help you plan it. More than a dozen caterers and food trucks will be serving up food and champagne samples. Other local vendors offer wedding decor ideas and more, and there are several live bands to test out, too. FREE burgers in Bushwick – Duncan’s Burgers is celebrating its new permanent home inside Dromedary Bar in Bushwick by giving away 500 dry-aged burgers, between 1 pm and midnight, or, until they run out of supplies. the burgers normally cost $3.49.
