The idea behind Kwanzaa Crawl is to support Black-owned bars in Brooklyn. Sixteen bars in Park Slope, Bed-Stuy, Crown Heights, Fort Greene and Prospect Heights are are participating in this first-ever Kwanzaa crawl, on Monday, December 26th.
Purchase of a $10 Kwanzaa Crawl cup gets you entry to all 16 locations, where you can take advantage of drink deals, plus chances to win prizes and giveaways.
Crawlers are encouraged to wear African inspired/influenced clothing, HBCU sweatshirts, tees that say “Big Hair Don’t Care,” etc.
The Kwanzaa Crawl starting point is at 1pm at Restoration Plaza, 1368 Fulton St., where crawlers pick up their Crawl Cup, bar list and other members of their team, or posse, or whatever you want to call a bunch of people bar hopping together.
These Black-owned Brooklyn bars are participating in Kwanzaa Crawl:
DICK AND JANE’S
MO’S FORT GREEN
THERAPY WINE BAR
Kwanzaa Crawl is the idea of Bedford-Stuyvesant resident and comedian Kerry Coddett.
