All About Golda is a new museum exhibit about the legendary prime minister of Israel, and opening night includes sampling her chicken soup recipe. Golda Meir was known as the Iron Lady of the Middle East – outspoken, plain spoken, tough and gentle.
All About Golda opening night – including a dish of her chicken soup, prepared by celebrity chef Joan Nathan, and a presentation by her grandson, musician Gidi Meir – is FREE a the Bernard Museum of Judaica at Temple Emanu-El on the East Side. It begins at 6pm, after Sabbath Services.

Goldas kitchen was known as much for its high-level meetings as its matzah ball soup, and a replica of this iconic room is one of the must-sees of the exhibit. Other artifacts range from an engraved cigarette box gifted to her by Anwar Sadat in1973, to a portrait of her by Andy Warhol, and a collection of images of the Grandmother of Israel.
