Monday menus: Shoney’s is offering a FREE meal to all law enforcement officers on Wednesday, July 27th. Shoney’s also offers free meals to the military on Veterans Day and Memorial day,
The freebie for law enforcement officers is for breakfast, lunch or dinner, as a gesture of thanks in these difficult times for our men and women in blue, according to a press release received from the company:
The free meal gesture was conceived by Shoney’s CEO and Chairman Mr. David Davoudpour (his photo below), who has a rich track record of supporting law enforcement, was quickly and unanimously approved system-wide by Shoney’s franchise partners.
“America’s men and women in blue need to hear ‘Thank You’ in a tangible and heartfelt way,” said Shoney’s CEO and Chairman David Davoudpour.
“Shoney’s opens its doors every day so that families can enjoy fresh quality food, friendly service for an incredible value but it is never lost on us that none of that happens without our men and women of law enforcement across this great country of ours who make our communities safe. We want to thank them and we salute them with a free meal on the house. If you’re a police officer in your hometown or are traveling to a place where Shoney’s does business, please know you are welcome here. I say ‘Let’s Eat’ – for free.”
Although there are no Shoney’s outposts in the NYC area, NYCONTHECHEAP is publishing this because we have followers all over the USA, including in in cities where there is a Shoney’s.
Thank you, Shoney’s, for this generous gesture. Maybe the idea will spread to other fast food and casual dining chains.
