Don’t we love it when a national restaurant chain offers a great meal deal EXCEPT in NYC, or just not in Manhattan. TGI Fridays is doing just that with it’s “Ribolution” promotion, $10 everywhere in the USA except in Manhattan.
That’s an added insult and slap in the wallet, condsidering that the fast casual chain opened its very first location in Manhattan before growing into a worldwide brand.
Ah, yes, the press release says “participating locations”, but it took a couple of email back-forths to TGI Friday’s press representative to advise that the meal deal is available in Queens and Brooklyn, but “unfortunately” not in Manhattan. And we haven’t heard what the Manhattan price actually is costing.
It’s shameless, because TGI Friday’s also is promoting the $10 deal with advertisements and a social media campaign featuring the man on the $10 bill, Alexander Hamilton, who lived in Manhattan, is buried in Manhattan, and created the Bank of New York in Manhattan.
The $10 Ribolution promotion – except in Manhattan – is available daily through Monday, Labor Day, September 5th, for eat-in only. Here’s what you get for $10, except in Manhattan:
Jack Daniel’s® Ribs: Full-rack of slow-cooked, fall-off-the-bone tender baby back pork ribs fire-grilled and basted with our signature smoky-sweet sauce, and sides.
Signature Tennessee BBQ Baby Back Ribs: A full-rack of those baby backs basted in our Tennessee BBQ sauce, and sides.
The $10 Ribolution promotion – except in Manhattan – also includes grilled chicken and mahi mahi, and sides.
