Take the kids to the annual NY International Children’s Film Festival is a month-long celebration of family-friendly live action and animated movies from around the world, including animated films documentaries and shorts produced by teens.
The 2016 festival is today, Feb. 26th through March 20th with screenings mostly on weekends at several screening venues in Chelsea and Midtown. Tickets are selling out for the most popular screenings, including an animated version of The Little Prince.
Other films include a love story of a boy and his dog and a charming tale of a Beatles-obsessed boy band.
Too many films to list them all here, because there are multiple screenings at multiple locations, so check the International Children’s Film Festival website for the detailed schedule, including the suitable ages, because some films – are suitable for all ages, and others are more suited to children 6 or 8 and older.
Tickets are $13.
