Celebrate the rich tradition of black comics at The Fourth Annual Black Comic Book Festival in NYC, with a full day of FREE panel discussions, film screenings, hands-on workshops, and exhibit tables with top black comic artists and other experts from across the country.
It’s all happening this Saturday, January 16, 2016 at the Schomburg Center for Research, at 135th St. and Lenox Avenue, steps from the #2 and #3 subway stop.
And while you’re there, check out the impressive afro-futurism art and design exhibition Unveiling Visions: The Alchemy of the Black Imagination curated by John Jennings and Reynaldo Anderson.
The Black Comic Book Festival is 10 AM to 7 PM. Admission is free, but registration is recommended to guarantee admission.
