Who knew that today, Tuesday, Nov. 3rd, is National Sandwich Day? Subway, that’s who, and the restaurant chain is celebrating with a BOGO sandwich deal. Buy one, get one free, today only. Or, give sandwich to someone you love or someone who needs it.
The Subway BOGO sandwich deal applies to purchase of any 6-inch or Footlong Sub, plus a 30 oz. drink, to get another sub of equal or lesser value to someone of your choice, even to yourself. The pay it forward promotion is at participating SUBWAY locations.
National Sandwich Day also marks the launch of Subway’s #SaveLunchBreak movement, which includes collectable t-shirts, posters and limited-edition free swag. It’s also being promoted on the sandwich chain’s social media channels.
Subway recently commissioned a survey to uncover the current lunch habits of working professionals in North America , which showed:
- 7 in 10 workers take a lunch break that is 30 minutes or less
- 20 percent of millennials take fewer than 15 minutes for lunch, as compared to 11 percent GenX
- More than half of all workers wish they could take a nap during lunch, with millennials leading the way over Gen Xers (57 percent v. 46 percent)
- 49 percent feel they would snack less and make better meal choices if they took a lunch break
What do you do for lunch?
