There’s trick-or-treating all weekend in New York City, with FREE Halloween parades, street fairs and the annual Pumpkin Flotilla in Central Park. Here’s where to Boo! on Sunday, Oct. 25th:

Halloween Parade and Pumpkin Flotilla in Central Park – Enjoy live music, spooky stories, pumpkin carving demonstrations, and, of course, Central Park Conservancy’s signature pumpkin flotilla, which sets sail across the Harlem Meer at twilight. Tickets are not required, but please RSVP that you’re coming. Here’s the schedule:
- 3:30pm: on-site registration to reserve space in the flotilla for your pumpkin.
- 3:30 pm – 5:30 pm – Pumpkin Carving Demonstrations, Halloween Crafts, Live Music
- 3:45 pm – 4:30 pm and 4:45 pm – 5:30 pm -Spooky Stories
- 6:00 pm – 6:30 pm – Halloween Parade
- 6:30 pm – Pumpkin Flotilla Launch
Washington Market Annual Halloween Costume Party and Parade – The party includes games like Penny in a Haystack and a Hay Maze on the lawn. Parade line-up begins at 12:45pm near CitiGroup Plaza (Greenwich Street at N. Moore Street). The parade travels south along Greenwich Street to the park, 1pm to 3pm. Event website.
Bay Ridge Pumpkin Festival – Pumpkin decorating, giveaways, ghost ship storytelling and a costume parade and contest. Noon to 4pm, at the American Veterans Memorial Pier at the foot of 69th St. In addition, there will be a maritime skills hands-on lesson given by the New York City Department of Parks & Recreation with live music by maritime folk group Bob Wright and Harbortown.
