It’s official: There is an additional chance to see Pope Francis during his historic visit to New York City later this month, when he drives through Central Park in his Popemobile.
The Central Park appearance has just been added to his NYC itinerary. FREE tickets are being distributed by lottery only, by the Archdiosece of New York. You must be a New York State resident to be eligible to receive these tickets.
The Pope Francis Central Park route is while the pontiff is en route from Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Elementary School in East Harlem to Mass at Madison Square Garden, on Friday, Sept. 25th. He will be in his Popemobile, traveling at a slow speed, along the West Drive.
Tickets are required to attend the event. The only way to get a ticket is from the Archdiosese of New York official site.

To get a ticket for two to see Pope Francis in Central Park, click here or call 311 between tomorrow, Thursday, Sept. 3rd and Monday, Labor Day, Sept. 7th. Names will be drawn at random. The Pope may not approve of gambling, but it’s the most fair way to distribute these high demand tickets.
The winners will be notified on Thursday, Sept. 10.
