Waku Waku is a Japanese expression for excitement, and the name of a new Japanese pop culture festival. NYCOTC is giving away eight tickets to this celebration of anime, manga, music, food, film, fashion, and more, in Brooklyn the last weekend of August.
Waku Waku +NYC features guests from Japan, interactive exhibits and games, workshops, music, and more, all designed to nurture and encourage creativity. And fun, of course.
Waku Waku +NYC is the weekend of August 29/30 in the new Brooklyn Expo Center, with additional events spread over Brooklyn’s Greenpoint and Williamsburg neighborhoods.
Tickets start at $15 for a one-day pass, up to $65 for a VIP pass including skip-the-line entry, evening parties and concerts at Verboten and Brooklyn Bowl, guaranteed spots at up to six panels and signings, a souvenir t-shirt, and more.
There’s also a Groupon deal for $45 for a two-day pass.
The first eight people to comment, below, with a valid email address, snag FREE tickets, one per person. Your email address will not be published on NYC on the Cheap, but will be shared with the Waku Waku + NYC organizers, who will send you a special ticket code so your online purchase is FREE.
