Volkswagen Traffic Jam – This popular annual spectator-judged vintage Volkswagen car show and picnic is on Governors Island. Let the memories drive you to enjoy a line-up of nearly 100 Beetles, buses, dune buggies, Things, and other original VW’s circa 1950’s – 1970’s. Noon-5pm. Governor Island ferry schedule
Midtown West Block Party – On 52nd St., between Sixth and Seventh Avenues
Pakistan Day Parade – One of the more colorful of NYC’s ethnic parades marches down Madison Avenue from 38th to 23rd Streets starting at noon.

Smorgasburg: The popular Brooklyn foodie festival is outdoors every weekend through fall, with more than 75 local vendors selling top quality sodas, gluten-free sodas, seafood and more.
