The eleventh annual NYC Harlem Week kicks off Sunday, July 26th with A Great Day in Harlem, a day-long collection of FREE family-oriented music and dance events, arts and crafts and more in several uptown locations.
This should really be called Harlem Month, since events continue through mid-August.
Here’s some of the Harlem Week kick-off events this Sunday, all at U. S. Grant National Memorial Park, 122nd St. and Riverside Drive:
1 p.m. — International Showcase of dance performances.
3 p.m. — Gospel Caravan, also at Grant’s Tomb
4:30 p.m. — A fashion showcase of emerging local talent, also at Grant’s Tomb
6:00 p.m. — A concert salute to international Music Legends
See the full schedule on the Harlem Week website, including the annual Family Day, outdoor film festival and concert performances, in August.
